What is 127Catching?

Expert Coaching

The name comes from the throwing distance from home plate to second base on a baseball diamond: 127 feet (technically 127 feet 4 inches).

Coach Pat Barrett is an experienced Catching Coach and accomplished Catcher. Having played High School ball at Carmel High School in NY and then Division 1 Baseball at Davidson College.

He began coaching catchers in High School when he helped run a Youth Baseball camp, and continues today coaching both baseball and softball catchers at a local high school and in private lessons

Since then, he has gained a Catching Certification from "The Catching Guy" Todd Coburn, and a hitting certification for Epstien Hitting

Coach Pat does most of his hitting and catching lessons as LevelUp in Fishkill, NY

The Catching Edge Program

A game-day evaluation program designed to give catchers something most never receive: expert feedback based on in-game performance.

Without notice, an experienced catching coach attends a live game and evaluates the catcher exactly as they perform under true competitive conditions — not in a lesson or controlled drill
